Screaming Eagles Week 2016 Recap

Posted on Tuesday, February 16, 2016

During the first week of February, Â鶹ÉäÇø held one of its most anticipated events of the year: Screaming Eagles Week! Screaming Eagles Week (or SEW) is a friendly competition between campus residential areas. This is always the most action-packed time of year, and SEW 2016 was no exception.

This year’s theme was “Last Family Standing,” meaning each floor represented a famous television family, incorporating this into the week’s events. SEW kicked off Monday night with dodgeball. Tuesday, teams showed off their creativity with the floor decorating competition. Wednesday, students competed in zorb soccer. Thursday evening, the annual SEW Film Festival took place, showcasing each floor’s hilarious music videos. As always, Screaming Eagles Week came to a close Friday night with the Eagle Olympics.

After securing first place in multiple competitions, this year’s SEW winner was floor 300, the Wolfpack! At the end of the week, spirits were high, and students were relieved to be able to rest after all the competition and excitement. Screaming Eagles Week 2016 was marked by a sense of closeness, not just between those of the same floor, but amongst the entire campus.

This year’s floor themes:

100 – The Flintstones

200 – The Jetsons

300 – Swiss Family Robinson

400 – The Brady Brunch

500 – Duck Dynasty

600 – The Addams Family

FOA – Full House
